A movie I really gained a new appreciation for after seeing it as an adult.
"Forest ballet" is a great way to describe it.
Are you familiar with the modernist painter Franz Marc? He likely had an influence on Bambi, especially on the fight scene between Bambi and the rival buck.
I hadn’t seen his work! I see the influence now. That fight scene is gorgeous. I’ll have to see “Yellow Cow” at the Guggenheim some time soon!
