You're a really good writer, Jeff. The ONLY thing I don't agree with is that the Holocaust is a story without heroes. It's definitely a story with not enough heroes. But there were some right???
Thank you, Nataly! People were acting heroically in many different ways; Simply surviving should be considered heroic! I'm trying to get at the choice to tell the story of the Holocaust from the perspective of an outlier (Schindler, the "hero") and how that may skew future generations' understanding of the catastrophe. When I say "without heroes," I'm thinking about the breadth of the Holocaust.
